Well well well Merry belated Christmas everyone! Hope you had a great friends and family gathering. For the Montrealers, wish I was back home to celebrate Christmas and New Years with you, but please blame China for not giving me any vacation for this lovely Christmas Day. China was ever really festive for those western days anyways, besides Chinese New Year and its National Day.

I havent had time (or motivation?) in updating my blog, it's been slowly dying and I shouldn't let it be so cause... it's my blog's upcoming 4th year! Time flies right? Alright alright it got more fashion oriented but I can't help myself, fashion photography IS my thing! :) Hope you enjoy it.

Hello there!

I have been back from Hong Kong for a while now, and I must admit it's been weird to be back in the normal life without the presence of my Montreal girls and my parents who both came for a short visit in Shanghai in the beginning of November. Unfortunately I still got some visa issues but I will definitely find a solution to get out of this. It was so warm in the end of November in Shanghai and suddenly this morning I had to wear my winter coat for the first time... in my cold apartment (for the people who already lived at my place during winter, y'all feel me!). China isn't the right place to be for holidays, but I guess hanging out with expats and the loved ones who have Xmas Spirit will do. Meanwhile my closest friends in Shanghai are going back to their country, some for a while, some forever... Sad moments coming up, but getting prepared.

Missing Xmas with family and New Years with the Montreal friends... for a 2nd year. Have to get used to it!

Good morning readers,

This morning I woke up and came to realize that MON DIEU it's already almost the end of September! Time flies! I had to kind of realize it because Shanghai is getting so cold... and we're officially in Fall! Before starting my projects today I was browsing on Smart Shanghai and saw artists coming to perform in the city (Akon, Lenka, Cirque du Soleil), as well as the awesome JZ Festival, jazzing up the entire Century Avenue for Jazz fans. Need to organize my upcoming October weekends! National holiday is coming soon also and I've planned to trek at Moganshan for 3 days, getting out of the city is always needed.

Anyhow, meanwhile I would like to share with you guys this village that I found through some websites (going to research the source again), it's pretty cool, I'd like to be in there forever and forget I have a job.

Hello readers,

I officially started my job today. I still can't believe I was stuck in my apartment for the past week trying to figure out WHERE THE HELL my inspiration went, but it came back. I even got sick from staying under the AC for such a big amount of time (morning, noon, evening, even night! Shanghai is too hot now)!

Anyways, those are the latest works I have done to complete my portfolio for Saatchi. As you already know, I am very fashion oriented. I just wish the pictures I chose were taken by me, but thanks to Fashion Gone Rogue (and the talented fashion photographers, of course), I got my work done!

Holy shaite, I'm finally done with my second (and last) semester at DongHua University. Never I would have thought 10 months could have passed by so fast! I guess time flies when we enjoy it...

As few people already know, my plans after my life in Shanghai were to go back home, work as an accountant daily at my father's company, while completing a certificate in Advertisement at Université de Montréal during the weekly evenings. But life is never planned how you want it to be, that's the beauty of it. After many dilemmas and crazy thoughts, I chose to extend my Shanghai journey for at least two years. Crazy decision, but worth it in every ways.
Therefore, Montreal will wait. And I will come back.

My flatmate Christiane is also leaving in a few days, as well as many other friends and acquaintances that I have met throughout my first year in SH. The thing about this city is that no matter how long you stay, you will never have a stable group of friends and networks. Shanghai is the city where people come and go, unless you hang out with locals.

Anywho... I still have a lot to learn, so I'll consider my second year as a new start.

First official job, here I come...

I must admit that I do love being in China for endless shopping sessions. Wherever I walk, there are so many cute boutiques on the way and I cannot just walk by without having a look. Yesterday, my room mate and I decided to go to the Fabric Market near Nanpu Bridge to get some clothes done. I have to remind you that in China there are no such things as western size. You want your derrière to fit in, you go to H&M, Zara, and the brands that you know and pay the same price as when you were back home, if not more. Come on. We're in China. Might as well get our stuff done our size for cheaper. Even Jeans.

After your fitting, we were looking around the fabric market and I saw those silk scarves that were quite similar to Hermes. Then next to it, some tacky Louis Vuitton ones were hung. I suddenly remembered model Shu Pei wearing a black-on-black LV monogram scarf and I found it totally beautiful, so I looked for it and found it, for only 60yuan (10 USD). Howzaaa I love China. And since I got such a pretty nice deal, I decided to buy last summer's pink LV scarf with roses.

I know that scarves are not meant for the summer, but I'm ready for it!

When I was window-shopping around with my friend Rodrigo at Shanghai's Plaza 66, we saw that big box with Dior's famous pattern, sitting on the shopping center's ground level. We suddenly realized that it was a huge Dior Bag, and that we could go inside! So much fun, I felt like a child all over again.

Just like Hermès and Louis Vuitton's exhibitions, Dior's small exhibition shows photos taken by famous fashion photographers, as well as Dior bags, made by artists in different eco materials, such as paper, plastic, glass etc.

Did you know that Lady Dior was created in 1995 for Princess Lady Di?
